Information we collect

When you submit our consultation form, we collect:

• First name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Description of what you sell
• Monthly revenue range
• Role type needed (closer, setter, or both)

We also collect data automatically when you visit the site:

• IP address and approximate geolocation derived from it
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Pages visited, time on page, and referral source
• Click and scroll behavior (via PostHog session recording)

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Consent. You give explicit consent when you submit the consultation form and accept the cookie banner.
• Legitimate interest. We have a legitimate business interest in analyzing site traffic, preventing fraud and bot abuse, and improving our services. We balance this interest against your privacy rights.
• Contractual necessity. When you enter a placement agreement, we process data necessary to fulfill that contract.
• Legal obligation. We process data when required by law, regulation, or court order.

How we use your information

• Send you a free email sequence with sales hiring guidance (up to 8 emails over 15 days)
• Contact you about your consultation request
• Match you with appropriate closer or setter candidates
• Improve our website, marketing, and conversion funnel
• Prevent spam, fraud, and automated abuse
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

Email communications

By submitting our form, you consent to receive a sequence of up to 8 educational emails over approximately 15 days. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time. Once you unsubscribe, your address is suppressed immediately and no further emails will be sent.

We use Resend to deliver email. Your email address and first name are stored in Resend's infrastructure, which is hosted in the United States. Resend's privacy policy: resend.com/privacy-policy.

Our emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, and applicable EU electronic marketing regulations. Each email identifies the sender, includes a valid physical address or registered agent, and provides a clear unsubscribe mechanism.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies. See our Cookie Policy for a full breakdown of each cookie, its provider, and its purpose.

Analytics tools include Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager), Meta Pixel (Facebook), and PostHog. These help us understand visitor behavior so we can improve the site experience.

Data sharing and third-party processors

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share data only with the following service providers, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:

Each processor is bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law. We do not transfer data to any party beyond those listed above.

International data transfers

Our processors are based in the United States. If you are located outside the U.S. (including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or processor certifications under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

Data retention

• Contact information: retained for 24 months from your last interaction, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner.
• Email audience data: retained in Resend until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Analytics data: retained per each provider's default settings (Google Analytics: 14 months; PostHog: 12 months; Meta: per Meta's data retention policies).
• reCAPTCHA tokens: not stored after verification completes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EU/UK residents)

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for business owners and professionals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us at info@closerden.com and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We protect your data through multiple layers:

• TLS/HTTPS encryption on all pages and API endpoints
• Strict security headers (HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, and others)
• Google reCAPTCHA v2 to prevent automated form abuse
• Rate limiting (5 requests per minute per IP on form submissions)
• Honeypot fields to filter bot submissions
• Environment variables stored securely in Vercel (never exposed to the client)

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data in transit or at rest.

Data breach notification

If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected individuals and relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours of discovery, as required by applicable law (including GDPR Article 33 and state breach notification laws).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on the site. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
