CCPA Privacy Notice

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

How we use your information
We use personal information to provide our placement services, send requested email communications, analyze site performance, and prevent fraud. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects on you.
Do we sell or share personal information?
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We share limited data with service providers (Resend, Vercel, Google, Meta, PostHog) for operational purposes only. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes beyond what is necessary for site analytics.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
- Right to know. You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete. You may request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct. You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell personal information. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.
- Right to limit use of sensitive information. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to submit a request
Email info@closerden.com with the subject line "CCPA Request" and specify which right you are exercising. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason.
We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorization (such as a notarized letter or power of attorney) and may contact you directly to verify the request.
Data retention
We retain personal information for 24 months from your last interaction, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner. Analytics data is retained per each provider's default retention schedule. For full details, see the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.
Verification process
When you submit a request, we will verify your identity by matching at least two data points you provide against information we already hold (such as email address and name). We will not ask you to create an account for verification purposes. If we cannot verify your identity with reasonable certainty, we will explain why and offer alternatives.
